- Don’t join a stealth startup.
- Don’t join a role where you title is “founding X”, the longer the X the more urgent this warning.
- Don’t join a startup run by siblings, the more siblings the more urgent this warning.
- Don’t join a startup with a solo founder.
- Don’t join a startup that adds an extra vowel in their name (i.e ‘heey’, ‘wiin’, ‘claap’)

Birding photos from Dutch Gap on Aug 15, 2026 My best bird photo from this morning is a dragonfly (Eastern Pondhawk, I think). Least Sandpiper Green Heron Red-headed Woodpecker. It's a juvenile, so its head is not actually red yet.
