Sicko

| life | film | medicine |

I finally got a chance to see the Micheal Moore Movie Sicko. I usually don’t let movies affect me that much because I realize that there are two sides to every story, but for some reason this movie has really struck a nerve with me.

I am honestly disgusted to be a any part of this country or government, and am ashamed to wear this uniform. Seeing this film has opened my eyes to so many issue in this country, ones that I see first hand working in a health care system that is virtually “free” Even then there is a whole bunch of bullshit and loopholes to go through.

In addition to the whole health care fiasco that is going on in this country, it has rekindled old flames of things that I hate about the way our country is run, and has made me a very upset person. You should never attempt to write a blog when you are really upset so I will save the rest for a later date.

“Must hate yourself to submit”

I linked to a bunch of speedrunning videos before, but this 43-minute video by hbomberguy from 2018 is a good introduction to the whole concept and why people care: It’s really funny, romantic (maybe a bit too romantic), and it has a few great examples and...
