I wrote a simple program today called releases that allows you to embed release notes from GitHub anywhere you want in the form of a feed. This essentially allows you to use GitHub releases as a blogging tool for your project.
In addition to releases, this tool will also grab all issues that are marked as “bugs” and list them under known issues.
I am using this on the BrainDump home pages and its kind of neat. Check it out! Feedback is most certainly welcome.
One of my favorite places in SF is the Ferry Building, on Saturday mornings during the farmers market it is a hub of activity and has some of the most amazing fruit that I have ever tasted. Last night I discovered an amazing place that is a short walk away from the Ferry Building that somehow I have walked by many times but never stopped at.
Pier 7 is just an ordinary pier, but it has spectacular views of the bay and the city. It’s a great place to go at night and take it all in.
I am deeply saddened by the events that took place in Paris this past week. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who were killed or injured. I had a chance to stop by SF City hall the same evening that these horrible events took place. I am glad to see that SF and the US stands in solidarity with the people of France.
