Citizen Hotel
The Citizen Hotel is a part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Located in the heart of downtown Sacramento, the Citizen Hotel is a truly unique, beautiful, and historic boutique hotel. It is a place that both celebrates and pokes fun at American politics with quips posted throughout the property.
The interior and lobby has a very regal look to it. The room I stayed in was modest but very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Like most hotels in the Autograph Collection, The Citizen hotel is home to a wonderful restaurant called Grange. I had the pleasure of grabbing breakfast there and it was absolutely delicious. Grange partners with local farms to create a seasonal menu that gives you a real taste of the region.
I really enjoyed my stay at this historic hotel. Their main website states that no two rooms are exactly alike.
The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection’s unique combination of historic charm and sleek modern amenities brings a new kind of luxury to downtown Sacramento. Treat yourself to unexpected elegance. No two rooms are exactly alike, so you’ll get a different perspective of downtown Sacramento each time you visit us. On the historic 13th floor, for example, you’ll find gorgeous tile mosaics in the large bathrooms. If I ever find myself back in Sacramento for an overnight trip, I would gladly test this claim.

Qwen 3.8 27B is excellent, but it defaults to wildly overthinking things
Friday's big release was Qwen 3.8 27B, an Apache 2 licensed 27B parameter vision-capable LLM from Alibaba's Qwen research lab. I've been looking forward to this one: 27B is an excellent size for running a model on a reasonably specced laptop, and its prede...

Speaking of user interface guidelines, developer Matt Sephton and others compiled many of Apple’s human interface guidelines, starting from 1980, all the way to 2014, including some goodies like early drafts, NeXT, Newton, and so on. Elsewhere, designer Ge...

Birding photos from Dutch Gap on Aug 15, 2026 My best bird photo from this morning is a dragonfly (Eastern Pondhawk, I think). Least Sandpiper Green Heron Red-headed Woodpecker. It's a juvenile, so its head is not actually red yet.
