Citizen Hotel

The Citizen Hotel is a part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Located in the heart of downtown Sacramento, the Citizen Hotel is a truly unique, beautiful, and historic boutique hotel. It is a place that both celebrates and pokes fun at American politics with quips posted throughout the property.

The interior and lobby has a very regal look to it. The room I stayed in was modest but very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Like most hotels in the Autograph Collection, The Citizen hotel is home to a wonderful restaurant called Grange. I had the pleasure of grabbing breakfast there and it was absolutely delicious. Grange partners with local farms to create a seasonal menu that gives you a real taste of the region.

I really enjoyed my stay at this historic hotel. Their main website states that no two rooms are exactly alike.

The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection’s unique combination of historic charm and sleek modern amenities brings a new kind of luxury to downtown Sacramento. Treat yourself to unexpected elegance. No two rooms are exactly alike, so you’ll get a different perspective of downtown Sacramento each time you visit us. On the historic 13th floor, for example, you’ll find gorgeous tile mosaics in the large bathrooms.
If I ever find myself back in Sacramento for an overnight trip, I would gladly test this claim.

10 pointless facts about me

Found on Kev’s blog and originally started by Dave, here are my answers to this fun blog challenge: Do you floss your teeth? Sometimes. I’d say maybe a few times a week? I’m terrible at being consistent, and that includes flossing regularly. Tea, co…

Getting started with simple CSS View Transitions

There's (yet another) new piece of CSS to learn! Hurrah! Way back in 2011, jQuery mobile introduced the web to page-change animations. Clicking on a link would make your high-tech Nokia display a cool page-flip as you navigated from one page of a web…
