From 2016 - 2024 I took on a project to visit every state capital. I used to write about it a bit on a separate blog at tralev.net. It was the adventure of a lifetime and something that I will look back on fondly for many years to come. This project also started very close to the time when I met Aosheng. He even made me a business card with a postcard theme which I still cherish <3

I am importing all of those old posts here, and plan to write a bit more over the next few years about those adventures.

I have had the dream of visiting every US State capital for quite some time now. Many people have asked me why I want to do this. My response is typically that “I want to see what all the fuss is about.” Their response is then “there is no fuss”. The goal of this project is to figure out for myself if there is indeed any fuss.

I am finally committing some resources to this, and will be documenting the project here on this blog. Although I have visited quite a few capitals in my life, I am going to start fresh for the purpose of this blog and make an attempt to get the real feel for any given city.

If you happen to live in one of the state capitals, I would love to meet you when I am in town. Will gladly exchange coffee, drinks, or dinner for a locals perspective. Feel free to contact me. I am looking forward to this adventure, and I hope you will join me!
