How I Got There

Santa Fe has a tiny airport that I flew in to on United from San Francisco via Denver. The airport is so small that it does not have an automated baggage system. Instead, a human hauls all of the luggage from the plane to a little window near the terminal and loads them in one by one onto a rolling rack.

Where I Stayed

I stayed at the lovely La Posada de Santa Fe. This is a resort and spa that is a part of the tribute portfolio. It is a great place to relax. My room was a small cottage tucked away in the back of the property and came with a wood-burning fireplace.

How I Got Around

Santa Fe is a pretty small town. They do have a small public transit system and some shuttle services. I mostly got around using Lyft and Uber. They did not have any scooters when I visited, but this may have changed by now.

What I did

After arriving and checking in to the hotel, I wandered around a bit and made my way to the Pink Adobe restaurant for dinner.

The next day I explored more of the downtown area and visited the New Mexico History Museum, Palace of the Governors, Gerogia O'Keefe Museum, and the State Capitol. I had lunch downtown and dinner at the restaurant at the hotel. I planned to go to Meow Wolf but the line was too long, so I gave up.

What Was The Fuss

Santa Fe is a charming, sleepy, and historic town that is home to dozens of art galleries, craft shops, and has some of the oldest buildings in the United States. It is a great place for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Roden Readers — The first memory I have of Enrique Allen is from the campus of Stanford. He had just graduated from the d.school and was teaching part-time. We were about to start working together. He was all bounding lightness. That’s the first image: Jum…

Cold reading an ADHD affliction

I'm sure there are truly pathological cases of ADHD out there, and maybe taking amphetamines really is a magic pill for some folks. But there clearly is also an entire cottage industry cropping up around convincing perfectly normal people that they …
